The Music Business Hub is a space for African music and culture education, training and discourse with aims of improving stakeholders understanding of the business of music, providing equitable access for all and fuelling the passion for creativity. The Hub spearheads initiates while collaborating with relevant partners and stakeholders to achieve the business potential of the African creative economy. The Hub facilitates the exploration of innovative creative pathways on how African and global institutions and brands can invest in the music and culture industries to turn these into critical parts of the continent’s revenue earner.
Some of the Hub’s focus areas are: capacity building and education for professionals in the industry, intellectual property rights, piracy, financial and investment planning, brand management and monetizing the digitalization of creative assets among other areas of relevance.
