The Guidelines / Requirements for the 2025 All Africa Music Awards Entry Submission

The All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA 2025 is officially open for entries from Artistes, Songwriters, Music/Entertainment Journalists, Video Directors, Music Producers, DJs, and Dancers from across the African continent and Diaspora. The AFRIMA awards is celebrating excellence in musical artistry in Africa and the Diaspora, featuring 36 categories across the five regions of Africa and music genre, with a reward of 23.9 carat gold AFRIMA plated trophy.

Submission Guidelines
  • Entries open from May 10, 2025 and close on August 1, 2025.
  • Eligibility: Music professionals of African origin living either on the continent or abroad are eligible.
  • The award is open to Artistes, Songwriters, Video Directors, Music Producers, as well as unrecorded artistes.
  • Entries submitted through email to any AFRIMA email address WILL NOT be considered.
  • Artistes / producers / directors / journalists / songwriters must submit their works digitally via the AFRIMA website at https://afrima.org/AFRIMA2019.
  • Stay updated from the AFRIMA social channels: Twitter, Instagram @AFRIMAWARDS or Facebook: www.facebook.com/afrima, YouTube: www.youtube.com/afrima.
  • It is strongly advised that you submit your work(s) via online submission. The Entry Registration Form must be carefully and accurately completed and submitted including the relevant URL links for the digital version of the artistic work/writing in the space provided.
  • Forms can be filled in English and French, with Arabic and Portuguese translations available on the form.
  • African artistes must upload and submit their audio or video entry using download links to YouTube or SoundCloud platforms to qualify for nomination in award categories relevant to their artistic work/works.
  • Works to be submitted must be produced in the year under review, i.e., August 1, 2018 to August 1, 2019.

Terms and Conditions for the AFRIMA 2025 CALL FOR ENTRIES

Terms and Conditions
  • By entering your works, each entrant will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and to have agreed to be bound by them.
  • Failure to supply all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry might result in the entry being invalid.
  • Entries submitted through email to any AFRIMA email address will not be considered.
  • Entries will be deemed to be void if stolen, forged, mutilated, or tampered with in any way.
  • Only one entry by online or post will be accepted per category submission.
  • By entering the competition, entrants, nominees, and winners agree to their names being published and to be photographed and/or interviewed by The Press or AFRIMA, and that AFRIMA may use their names and such photographs and/or interviews for publicity purposes.
  • The AFRIMA Trophies are not transferable or exchangeable.
  • All prizes are subject to standard terms and conditions of the company supplying the prizes.
  • AFRIMA is not liable for damage to trophies sent by post or courier.
  • Full details of the prize will be given in writing upon request.
  • Only entries received in the year in review, i.e., August 1, 2018 to August 1, 2019, as specified in the AFRIMA Calendar, will be accepted.
  • Winners will be drawn from the outcomes of Public and Academy Voting.
  • Winners will be notified as specified in the advertisement and promotions.
  • Subject to any applicable law which cannot be excluded, AFRIMA and their employees are not responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the AFRIMA Trophy.
  • Entry is open to Artistes, Songwriters, Video Directors, Music Producers, DJs, and Dancers from across the African continent and Diaspora.
  • The decision of AFRIMA jurors and the Academy of voters in relation to any aspect of the Awards ceremony is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • All entries (name, beat, sound, audio, lyrics, pictures, graphics, color, etc.) become the property of AFRIMA and may be used for promotional and marketing purposes.
  • Under the Privacy Act, all individuals have the right to access and correct their personal information by contacting AFRIMA in writing at AFRIMA Secretariat, AFRIMA INFO@AFRIMA.ORG.
  • By agreeing to receive a complimentary subscription to AFRIMA, recipients of any complimentary subscription are deemed to have given AFRIMA consent to contact them.
